This ONE THING was responsible for me learning photo editing. The best way to master photo editing isn’t presets, and it isn’t watching countless tutorials. Most people rely on presets but they cost a lot and watching tutorials take up so so so much time.

There is a much better way to get the results you want when photo editing and the answer I’m about to tell you makes presets obsolete and is 100 times faster and more effective than watching YT tutorials. I watched all the YT tutorials available online and then I made 200 tutorials of my own but that’s not how I learnt to recreate any style I want from any photographer!

So the answer to how I learnt is DNGs, what’s a DNG and how did I get them? A DNG is an image that when you bring into Lightroom all the settings are already applied. So hopefully you can see how crazy helpful this could be, first of all, you have the raw image very helpfully.. second you have the settings or presets already applied… third the preset has already been adjusted to that photo.

Because the hardest thing about using presets is what to do after you apply them. I got my hands on DNGs because of my YT channel where I teach photo editing and collaborate with photographers. But NOW I have created a resource that teaches people how I learnt, inside of the course where you get DNGs and guides walkthroughs & raw images so that nothing is missing in the process of taking an unedited image to a perfectly polished image ready for posting.
